Tsukiyono Omi (Weiß Kreuz)
Jump to: Biography | Image Gallery
Japanese Name: Tsukiyono Omi Tsukiyono Omi has one of the worst families in the history of the world. I decided to start out that way so you realize exactly how strange his family is. As far as I can figure, Omi was the product of an affair between Takatori Shuichi and Kikuno, Takatori Reiji's wife. He was brought up under the impression that Reiji was his father, however, as the rest of the world thought. When he was very young (perhaps 7), he was kidnapped. When the kidnappers called Reiji to ask for ransom, he refused to give it. As the kidnappers prepared to kill little Omi, a man came and saved him. This man, as Omi later realized, was Takatori Shuichi, also known as 'Persia'. Shuichi took the little boy and turned him into an assassin (taken straight from the mouth of Reiji himself). He becomes a member of Weiß (Weiss) along with Fujimiya Ran, Kudou Yohji, and Hidaka Ken. Since the Takatori family seems to be nothing but trouble, the first half of Weiss Kreuz is almost entirely dedicated to Weiss' missions against the Takatoris. Omi, while investigating the background of Takatori Masafumi, finds that he once had a little brother named Mamoru, who mysteriously disappeared and was never seen again. While out on a mission, Omi is about to be killed by Takatori Masafumi (who has conveniently warped into a mutant freak) when he sees his face and stops, uttering "Ma..mo..ru...". He shouldn't have stopped, because that was when Omi spit a dart in his face. But that's besides the point, see. Anyhow, on another mission, Omi is ready to shoot Takatori Hirofumi, when Hirofumi calls him Mamoru. Omi realizes in shock that he is Takatori Mamoru, and lets Hirofumi get away. Naturally, Aya (Ran) is extremely pissed off and refuses to talk to Omi. Later, Omi is at a banquet when he is kidnapped and taken to Takatori Hirofumi, who starts beating him. Omi cries out that Hirofumi will never be his brother. Weiss is shocked when they hear this (they magically appear at scenes of crimes) and charge in, stopping Hirofumi. However, he manages to get away with the help of Schuldig, a member of Schwarz. Omi ends up killing his brother. Aya kills Reiji, and Reiji kills Shuichi. In a nutshell, Omi is what is left of the Takatori family for the rest of Weiß Kreuz (the first series, anyway). After Weiss disbands, Omi stays in school while the others take up odd jobs around the city. Aya is a construction worker, Ken a soccer coach, and Yohji a playb--I mean, private detective. When a string of kidnappings and sacrifices (!! - The second half of Weiss is strange, to say the least) starts up, Omi goes back to the flower shop. To his utter surprise, he finds Yohji, Aya, and Ken slumped in the basement where Weiss usually got its missions earlier. Yohji explains that he was attacked by a member of Schreient, as was Ken. Aya doesn't say a word, until Omi finallys gets it out of him: Aya (girl Aya; Aya's sister) is gone. Weiss is back-- with a vengeance. Omi's just there, Yohji is ticked at Schreient, Ken is ticked at Schreient, and Aya is ticked at life in general. So now, in a nutshell (to spare you the details of the very.. strange second half), Weiss destroys the bad guys and 'disappears' again. Then there's Glühen.
Weiß Kreuz Glühen is a sort of 'sequel' to the first series. However, character designs have changed, and Omi is no longer the adorable innocent 16-year old of the first series. He's really, really ugly. In fact, he looks older than Aya, and that's just wrong. Omi is now Persia, and Weiß now consists of Fujimiya Ran, Kudou Yohji, Hidaka Ken, Kyou, and Izumi Sena. At the end of Glühen, Omi decides to cease to be Omi and becomes Takatori Mamoru, pissing off Knight (from Crashers) in the process. Poor Knight. Sorry for the iffy quality. WK has the absolute worst animation in the universe. Okay, not worst. RG Veda is really bad too. But then that's old. It has a reason. Please link back if you take anything. ^^ And enjoy... if you can. Argh.
